COMMUNITY PAYBACK SESSIONAL SUPERVISORS
The Community Payback Unit provides individual
and group placements for offenders sentenced by the court to do
unpaid work which is of benefit to the community. Supervisors lead
work parties undertaking decorating, gardening, catering, small
building projects or other such work. Successful candidate/s will
have sound practical skills coupled with the ability to supervise
and motivate diverse work groups. The work is suitable for people
of either gender and we particularly welcome applications from
women, and from ethnic minorities. It is important that staff
reflect the diversity of the whole community.
A current clean driving licence is necessary.
It is a requirement that the postholder is available for
occasional training events, some of which take place on a weekday
evening for which an additional payment is made. Some initial
on-site supervision is also provided.
Sessional Supervisors are required for either
week day or weekend work. The working hours are 8 am to 5 pm per
day. We cannot guarantee regular work but sessional supervisors
should be prepared to work 9.5 hours one day per week.
A CRB check at Enhanced level will be required
