Churchdown Parish Council in conjunction with Tewkesbury Borough Council- Jan 2012
Just writing formally to thank you and your team for the works done in Churchdown Park on 11th and 12th January.
The completed works were reported at our Amenities Committee last week, and Members were delighted with what has been achieved. The front garden area now looks much better and the turf is taking root.It was also very helpful to have the ditch part cleared, as this will help with our ponds project later in the spring - an outlet will be made from the newly created ponds into the ditch, so this will help with drainage.
The work was much appreciated and has saved our Council a good deal of money, as otherwise we would have had to bring in contractors.

During the last few weeks All Saints Church has once again been fortunate enough to have teams of Community Payback offenders working at the Churchyard. They have always done amazing work and have enabled the Church to have skilled work done that would have been financially impossible for us to do.They have laid a concrete path to the toilet giving us full disabled access which has obviously benefited the Church plus the hundreds of visitors we get each year. They have also done ongoing maintenance of the paths, trees, etc. During their visits they have always been well supervised and in the majority of cases have worked willingly and competently. I have worked closely with them over the period of time and have seen beneficial changes in their attitudes. They have learnt new skills, to work as part of a team and we have come to have mutual respect for each other........ I cannot commend highly enough the Supervisors we have been lucky enough to have again this time.

A very belated thank you for a job well done! We have been delighted with the hard work and achievement of the crews who came to clear the cemetery. The staff were polite and the 'probationers' were also polite when I spoke with them to explain the job at hand. The ground has been cleared, the trees trimmed and the rubbish all left where we asked them to leave it.
