Protecting people from the risks posed by a relatively small number of potentially dangerous offenders is the top priority for Gloucestershire Probation.
These are offenders who have reached the end of their prison sentences and have been released back into society with strict rules conditions on how they must behave.
For example they may be under a curfew, be forbidden from going to certain places or contacting certain people or may be required to live at an Approved Premises.
This work is carried out with the police and other partner agencies via Multi-Agency Public Protections Arrangements (MAPPA).
In this section you can find out more about our work with offenders in prison and how they are managed when they are released from prison.
